Before We Say Goodbye

While driving to church last night, the kids were listening to a music DVD in the car that we use on Wednesday Night for the kids program. Its called Believin' On and its by Jana Alayra The kids LOVE listening to it and it has the words on the bottom so they are really starting to know the words. The very last song on this DVD is called "Before We Say Goodbye" and while we were listening to it, Riley out of the blue said, "If Opa was still alife I would sing this song to him". Terry and I both looked at each other and started to cry. She has such a sweet and loving heart. This morning I asked her again about this song (because I couldn't remember the name of the song) and she again mentioned to me that she would let Opa listen to this song if he was still alive. I said "yes, I wish Opa could listen to it too" and she looked at me and said, "Mom, he can hear it". We all miss Opa a lot and wish he was still here. I do wish he could listen to this song. I tried to find the song on You tube but I can't find it. But I did find the lyrics. So read them carefully. I think that whenever I hear this song now I will have tears in my eyes. I will never listen to it the same way again. Thanks Riley, I love you lots and so did your Opa.

Before We Say Goodbye

Before you go away, at the end of this good day
Do you, do you know the Lord?
Before we say good-bye, let me ask you one more time
Do you, do you know the Lord?

His peace, His forgiveness
His words of truth and life
Do you need, His forgiveness?
Don't let another moment pass you by,
Now is the time

(ending:)
Now is the time, Now is the time
Do you know He loves you? Do you know He's calling you now?
Do you know He loves you? Do you know He's calling you now?

The Idiopathic Toe Walking Family

Yes, all our kids are "Idiopathic Toe Walkers". which means they are toe walkers. They have done it since they startd walking. In order to make them stop walking on their toes, we have to strech their achilles tendon. They do this by putting casts on both feet for about a months. I have to say, it worked great for Joel. We had Riley done when she was abou 3 1/2 but only had it done for 2 weeks. So needless to say, it didn't work. So this year we decided to go ahead and it done. First we had Jesse done and now Riley. Sh is on her second set of casts (they take their casts off after 2 weeks and put another set on while pushing their feet up further. So it will stretch more). She is beeing such a trooper. On Monday it was such a beautiful day out and our neighbor (and Riley's friend) Lilli came out with her "spring clothes on" and her flip-flops. You could tell Riley REALLY wanted to put her flip flops on. But she is dealing with it. After two more weeks she will be done and hopefully we will not have to do this again. Until....Josiah decided to do it too:) But we will have to wait and see. So far so good (I think).
Here are pictures of all 3 kids with their casts on. Enjoy:)

Home made gifts.

My friend Tirzah had a beautiful girl a few weeks ago. So that gave me an idea of making her something special.
I wanted to spell her name out with some wooden letters and then decorate them. So I took Josiah and Alina to Hobby Lobby to pick out some nice wooden letters and some nice "girly" paper. When I found the paper isle, I just layed all the letters out on the floor and tried to figure out what paper I liked. Luckily one of the workers there came into the isle and asked if I needed some help and she helped me decide on what to do. It was a lot of fun to do.
Then I thought, well...I have to make something for the boys too. So I found this wonderful craft made with the cricut on the "cazy for crafting" blog. I had so much fun making it. I bought a bag of Easter Chocolates at World market and filled it up. Then of course I had to buy a pretty little dress for baby Cora. I found it at Target. (it has little tulips on it to remind her of me:)and some cute little hairbows. Ok, I know...I went crazy. But I wanted to do something special for them-since they are so far away and I miss them:( I hope to be able go visit them sometime soon.

New Furniture

OK, so finally I found some time to blog again.(Terry is off this week and he is picking them up from school this afternoon). We got some new living room furniture a few weeks ago and wanted to share some pictures with my family & friends who live far away. (Especially since ONE of my sisters have been bugging me about posting pictures). So...Here they are.
I really didn't think I would like leather that much but I am loving it:) When we were looking for furniture we went to a few stores and really didn't find anything I really liked. We ended up going to Whit-Ash-it was highly recommended by some of our friends. Can I tell you, if you live in the Columbia area and are in need of new furniture, I highly recommend them. They have GREAT prices and wonderful choices.
